New Boilers

Everybody dreads winter its fingers crossed all round that our old boiler makes it through another year. We know that we should have it replaced but with the average cost coming at £2300 for replacement boilers its not something we can do as and when we please.

With the Green Deal replacement boiler you can trade in that old boiler and not have to worry about the massive up front cost. Heating your home is responsible for 60% of your fuel bills and old boiler can be costing you £300 a year more than if you were to replace it with a Green Deal A rated boiler. Allowing the Green Deal to replace your boiler would be an extremely green conscious move as it can save 1220 kg of carbon going into our atmosphere reducing your carbon footprint considerably.

Nowadays all the new boilers are condensing boilers which means they burn there fuel much more efficiently. Millions of households throughout the UK have older D,E,F,G rated boilers which is costing us a fortune, the Green Deal Scheme will enable us to upgrade to a new condensing A rated boiler.

There are a few things to consider when installing a new boiler. You can choose a regular boiler that uses a separate cylinder or you can opt for a combi boiler that doesn’t require a cylinder. If you have quite a large family and consume large quantities of hot water you would be better of with a regular boiler on the other hand smaller uses should consider a combi.

Space is also an issue here if room is tight the combi would be the sensible choice. A footnote that should also be considered, if in the future you are considering fitting solar thermal panels or solar may be part of your Green Deal plan than you should be aware that not all combi boilers are compatible with solar thermal.

Green Deal GB can organise a Green Deal accredited Assessor to walk you through a boiler replacement advising on the most efficient method. Once the property has been assessed Green Deal GB can instruct Green Deal Installers to quote for your installation making sure you get the maximum value from the Green Deal.
